There was an option to block Mobile App traffic on display campaigns early. After September 2018, they have rolled back this feature. This was possible in below simple steps.
1. Go to settings
2. Click on Additional settings
3. Click Devices and select Set specific targeting for devices
4. Uncheck the boxes next to “Mobile app”, “Mobile app interstitial”, “Tablet app”, and “Tablet app interstitial”
5. Save the changes.
What you can do now is go to Placements and exclude all Mobile App categories. According to Google, it takes 24-48 hrs to take this change into effect. So play with small budget and increase after 2-3 days to avoid over-spending.
Blocking Mobile App traffic through adsenseformobileapps.com is also not supported by Google now.
